This is what the sicilian says

Pinot Noir is an absolutly exotic grape on Sicily and was meant to be an experiment when the Scammanca del Murgo family planted these grapes in 1985 at Etna. This elegant, fine wine with soft flavours of cherry and currant with his light ruby colours is untypical for a Sicilian wine. An exotic wine that you need to try.

This is what the Sommelier says

Compared to other strong Sicilian redwines this Pinot Noir is uncommon. Still the grape integrates well and manages to cope with the volcanix soil of Mount Etna. The combination of this grape with Etna soil and the complex production that includes 18 month storage in french oak barrels results into the fine taste of this wine. A perfect match for dark meat.
