Featured Wineries

We are familiar with Sicily's wineries from our numerous visits there. 


Many wineries have been established in the last 20 years, some have been lovingly restored, while others are venerable, long-standing establishments. 


The vineyards are frequently family-owned, and offer not only wine, but sometimes feature olive groves and offer regional specialities.


It almost always possible to sample wine in the cantina, and food is frequently available too.


We want to introduce you to some of our favourite wineries, producing wines that have found their way into our range. They have quite a few stories to tell.


Despite the relative youth of the Cantina Vivera, the family can already look back on some outstanding vintages. 



Antichi Vinai

For over 100 years now, the Antichi Vinai winery (which translates as Antique Wine-Makers) has been making outstanding wines on the northern slopes of Mount Etna. In

A winery since 1860, the owners, the family of Count Scammacca del Murgo, is one of the oldest noble families in Sicily. They always strive to combine history and modernity.
